The 7 components of the pump

I. Suction part

Role: The suction part is located in front of the impeller, and its role is to guide the liquid into the impeller smoothly.

Types: There are straight cone, bent pipe shape, spiral shape, these three forms can be derived from many structures, such as slant flow pump with suction bell, vertical centrifugal pump with elbow tube suction.

II. Impeller

Role: Impeller is the most important working element of the pump, is the heart of the overflow components. Its role is to convert mechanical energy into liquid energy.

Types: According to the different directions and principles of liquid flowing out from the impeller, the impeller can be divided into centrifugal, mixed-flow (oblique flow) and axial flow; from the structure, it can be divided into single suction, double suction, closed, semi-open, open impeller, etc.

III. Exporting parts (pressure water chamber)

Role: The exporting part is located at the periphery or rear of the impeller, and its role is to collect and export the liquid flowing out from the impeller or to introduce it into the next level impeller, and to convert part of the velocity energy of the liquid into pressure energy.

Types: According to the structure of the pump, there are: ① spiral pressure chamber (worm), ② guide vane of multi-stage pump, ③ guide fluid of inclined flow pump, etc.

IV. Support parts

Function: To enable the impeller to rotate and do work, and to bear part of the axial force and radial force.

Types.

①For horizontal pumps, there are bracket parts and bearing parts.

② For vertical pumps, there are bearing support parts, motor support, etc.

V. Shaft seal parts

Function: To prevent the high-pressure liquid inside the pump from leaking out, or to prevent air from entering the pump.

Types: Packing seal, mechanical seal, etc.

VI. Balancing device

Function: Balance or reduce the axial force

Types and methods.

① balance disk, balance drum (mainly for multi-stage pumps)

② open balance holes in the impeller or add balance bars, etc.

VII. Other auxiliary devices

Such as lubrication system, cooling system, etc.
