Application

Slurry pumps can be widely used in mining, power, metallurgy, coal, environmental protection and other industries to transport slurry containing abrasive solid particles, such as slurry transport in metallurgical concentrators, hydraulic ash removal in thermal power plants, coal slurry and heavy medium transport in coal washing plants, river dredging, river dredging, etc.

In the chemical industry, it can also transport some corrosive slurry containing crystals.

Maintenance of Horizontal Slurry Pump

1. The water pressure and volume of the bearing shall meet the requirements, and the tightness of the packing shall be adjusted (or replaced) at any time, so as not to cause slurry leakage of the shaft seal. Replace the shaft sleeve in time.

2. When replacing the bearing, ensure that there is no dust in the bearing components and the lubricating oil is clean. The bearing temperature should not exceed 60~65 ℃ when the pump is running, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 75 ℃.

3. The coaxiality between the motor and the pump shall be ensured, and the elastic pad in the coupling shall be complete and correct. It shall be replaced in time after damage.

4. Ensure that the pump components and pipeline system are installed correctly, firmly and reliably.

5. Some parts of the slurry pump are wearing parts, so attention should be paid to the wear and tear of the wearing parts in daily use, and they should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.

6. During maintenance or replacement of vulnerable parts of slurry pump, ensure correct assembly, reasonable clearance adjustment and avoid tight friction.

7. The suction pipeline system of the slurry pump must be free of air leakage, and attention should be paid to whether the suction population is blocked during operation. The medium to be treated by the slurry pump mostly contains solid particles, so the grid placed in the pump sump should meet the requirements of particles that the slurry pump can pass through to reduce the possibility of blockage caused by oversized particles or long fiber materials entering the pump body.
